Tuning a BMW 335i e92 N55 on bench for Tricore process.


BMW with N55 with a new software updated by the dealer, obd tuning is not possible with our tools because the ecu has TpT Tricore chip so the only way is to remove the ECU from the car (under the intake body) then bench it for boot pin.  BMW did it on purpose to avoid aftermarket tuning but we dont mind to do it and are able to tuning it 100%.   After the tune is done  we ran a datalogger to read the boost and AFR measures (the car has already decatted downpipes,  full free-flow exhaust and chargepipe).  Surprising (we expected for at least 17 psi)  but it boosts up to 21.3 psi !! /  1.46 bar!!.  Maybe the cold weather makes the boost up!    We will video the boost gauge and dyno for whp number in the Spring 2014.
